High-quality, chemical-free water. Mechanical and biological filtration, specified planting, and a build that matches the garden around it.
Natural swimming ponds
The turquoise water of a tropical lagoon. Swimming water kept clear without chlorine. Automation — circulation, skimmers, top-off — is what keeps maintenance from becoming a weekend job. External filters with assisted oxidation: Technology is there to give that biology the flow and oxygen it needs. The results speak for themselves.
Aquatic planting
One hundred and twenty aquatic plants, each plant with its own unique ecological role to play in a balanced pond. Native plants only, with the occasional tropical splash of colour of non-invasive ornamentals. We provide integrated planting designs. Refúgio Botânico is not a garden centre and does not sell plants as a separate retail counter.

Natural swimming pond
€1,200/m²
Indication for a standard 75 m² pond, VAT included. Above 100 m² the price per square metre drops. Type of filtration and automation set the final figure.
Ecosystem pond
€120–245/m²
Ornamental ponds built as functioning aquatic ecosystems. Specified planting makes them work ecologically, not potted plants picked from a retail bench.
